The Arts are important at Brighton Public School. In 2012, we received a $10 000 MusiCounts Grant to create our wall of guitars & ukuleles. Our Arts program includes Visual Arts, Drama, Dance, and Music.
Our school participates in Music Monday. Music Monday was started in 2005 by the Coalition for Music Education and is the world’s largest single event dedicated to raising awareness to music education. We join hundreds of thousands of students, educators and music makers by singing simultaneously a song written by a Canadian artist each year. Each year, we have students in grade 7 and 8 participate in the KPRts Camp to develop leadership through the participation in the Arts. Our school has the following:
Drum Club
Guitar Club
Choir
Visual Arts Club
